Porta Pia is known for the famous breach opened by the Italian soldiers
in 1870, which decreed the annexation of Rome to the Kingdom of Italy:
the army Sabaudo passed over the walls in proximity of the monumental
gate, made in 1560, on Michelangelo's drawings . The beautiful example
of late Renaissance architecture can be admired even today, on the
Plaza, which houses the famous monument Bersagliere erected in 1932 and
the Historical Museum of Bersaglieri. Villa Borghese, the most beautiful
urban park in Rome, made in the seventeenth century, around the large
Villa, inside which is an artificial lake, Piazza di Siena, where there
are famous horse racings and the Casino Borghese, home to Borghese
Gallery, one of the most important art collections in the city and the
world, which includes works by Raffaellol, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Canova
and much more. Via Veneto, Via Vittorio Veneto, for all: Via Veneto,
symbol of the> dolce vita, of the 60ies? , immortalized by Federico
Fellini in the enonymous film, and still today one of the most elegant
