Quinta Real Oaxaca
5 de Mayo N° 300, Oaxaca
Very Good, 4 The Quinta Real Oaxaca is set in a 16th century convent located in the heart of Oaxaca's Historic Center. Faded frescos have been restored along the corridors, while colonial paintings hang in the lobby and main restaurant. Built in 1576 as the Convent of Santa Catalina de Siena, the halls of this hotel were tread by nuns for nearly 300 years. Mexico's National Anthropology and History Institute supervised the interior design, while teams of experts undertook the task of the building's interior frescos. The floors were rearranged according to the original design and artistic treasures of yesteryear were repaired. No two rooms in the Quinta Real Oaxaca are alike, but all provide modern comfort in a Spanish colonial setting. If you are a member of the Circulo Real program, then you can accumulate points during your stay to use in the hotelâ??s restaurants. Donâ??t forget to bring your card!
