General description:

The hotel Cales de Ponent is located directly by a sandy beach. At the beach are sun loungers and sun umbrellas for a fee. The town Ciutadella is around 3 km away (Es Mercadal around 27 km, Mahon around 48 km). A supermarket can be reached after around 50 m. There are restaurants and bars within a very short distance of the hotel. For mobility during your holiday, there are a bus stop (approx. 50 m away), a car rental company and a motorcycle rental. The airport (MAH) is approx. 45 km away. The hotel and airport are linked by a shuttle (for a fee).

Hygiene and safety measures

In order to protect the health of the guests, the following hygiene and protective measures are taken in the hotel: Compliance of the WHO recommendations and local laws, trained and equipped staff with hygiene and protection measures, safe access with sanitary controls to suppliers and employees, adapted capacities and flows in common areas to ensure social distancing, hand sanitizer available in all areas, protective screens at the reception, elevator occupancy control measures, self-catering options, restaurant space adapted to ensure social distancing, minimum 2m distance between tables at restaurants, controlled access to the restaurant (limited entry, scheduled turns), controlled access bar (limited entry), digital menus, buffet alternatives (protective screens, assisted buffet service), intensification control in chlorination levels and disinfection protocols for pools, minimum 2m between sun beds, intensification of disinfection / cleaning protocols, weekly room disinfection, housekeeping staff equipped with self-protecting gear as well as 3x per week change of towels.

Amenities:

The 2-storey 3-key beach hotel consists of a main building and 8 adjoining buildings, and has 73 rooms in total, that were last renovated in 2018. It offers its guests a reception (check-in from 14:00, check-out until 11:00), a lobby, a lift, air conditioning and a free parking area. For the meals, there is a restaurant (air-conditioned). After an eventful day, you can relax in the evening at the hotel bar. WiFi is available for free. For guests with physical disabilities the accommodation provides a barrier-free access and a wheelchair accessible lift. Laundry / ironing service and medical service are available for a fee. For the room cleaning the hotel charges a fee (where applicable).

Pool:

In the outdoor area of the mediterranean-style hotel you will find one fresh water pool with a separate children´s pool (open from May to October). Here, there are sun loungers and sun umbrellas for free available. Refreshing beverages can be consumed directly at the pool bar (open from 11:00 - 21:00).

Meals:

Breakfast (from 08:00 - 11:00) from the buffet. Half board Plus: beverages during meals (limited) in selected bars or restaurants. All inclusive: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Soft drinks (10:00 - 22:00), coffee & tea (10:00 - 22:00), small snacks (17:00 - 18:00), beer (10:00 - 22:00), wine (10:00 - 22:00) and national alcoholic drinks (10:00 - 22:00).

Sport and Leisure:

Sports and entertainment: Billiards (for a fee) and table tennis (for a fee). Bicycle rental. For the entertainment of young guests there is a children´s play area.

* Towels are changed every 2 days.

The apartment cleaning (except kitchen) is done after one week of stay.

Kitchen tableware and utensils are not included in the cleaning.

Sheet change is only for customers staying for more than 7 nights and is done after a week of stay.

All visitors over the age of six who arrive in Spain must present an officially recognised certificate from the health authorities in all tourist accommodation and hotels showing that they have tested negative for active COVID-19 infection in the last 72 hours.
