Playa Bella Apartments

These apartments have real family appeal, with fun pools, great entertainment and a beachfront setting.

This place is great for laid-back holidays. It's right on Punta Xinxo Beach, just along from San Antonio proper. And its huge terrace virtually melts into the beach. Cross the walkway and you're on the sands in seconds.As to the complex itself, it's made up of modern apartments grouped around a beautiful sun-kissed terrace. Sunbeds are here in force and the main, cloverleaf-shaped pool is pretty, with palm trees rising up from its centre. One of the pool's ‘leaves' is reserved for toddlers and is completely separated from the main pool. The highlight, though, is the neighbouring splash pool. Complete with a novelty shark, shipwreck, showers and chutes, it's the equivalent of a miniature aqua park.

Apartments are spacious and light. Most have undergone a recent refurbishment, too. Fresh magnolia walls have been teamed with blue-and-yellow furnishings. Smart kitchenettes and balconies or terraces finish things off. In terms of size, you can choose between studios and one-bedroom apartments, some of which offer bay views.Elsewhere, you've got all the essentials on tap. There are two bright and breezy restaurants serving international dishes, plus a friendly bar on the beachfront. Add lots of daytime games and evening shows and you've got entertainment covered.

What's more, getting to San Antonio is easy. Buses run into town from nearby or you can walk there – it'll take around 45 minutes. Or there's always the more scenic option of water taxis, which cruise to the centre or other nearby beaches. And if you don't fancy going into town, there are plenty of restaurants and bars just outside the complex.
