The 26 timber chalets are beautifully positioned facing the ocean with the immaculate and untouched beaches. The resort is environmentally conscious, with solar heating, a water treatment plant and the establishment is looking at alternative power for lighting. Most of the furniture is made from foreign hardwood trees, and was produced locally. The resort is ideal for weddings and conferences. Built in 2010, the property features a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, children's playground, bar, restaurant, WLAN Internet access and a car park. For an additional fee guests may make use of the laundry service.
Location
The resort is situated just 80 km from Durban on the Kwa-Zulu Natal south coast. Hibberdene, Port Shepstone, Shelly Beach, Margate, Southbroom and Port Edward form the core of this south coast 'beach holiday Mecca' of KwaZulu-Natal. Hibiscus Coast meets a perennially-warm, saltwater playground along 70 km of picture perfect hideaway coves and seemingly endless golden sands. King Shaka International Airport is located at a distance of approximately 95 km.
Rooms
The block of 10 bedrooms sleeps a total of 30 people as each room has three beds inside. All rooms are equipped with individually regulated air conditioning and heating, digital satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower. The cabins, consisting of 12 rooms situated along the gardens, can sleep up to 30 people as well, however are set up as double rooms with king-size beds. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, safe and a balcony or terrace are further standard amenities. All rooms have beautiful views of both the ocean and the lagoon.
Sport
The resort is perfectly designed for the leisure traveller to both work and play in a totally relaxed and secure environment. Beach activities are available through the front desk and the team is on standby to arrange activities in the surrounding area that will guarantee fun and laughter for all. The resort features an outdoor swimming pool. Diving, beach volleyball, golfing, horse riding and biking are some of the activities on offer (fees apply to all). Entertainment programmes are arranged for children (for a fee).
Meals
The restaurant is becoming a great south coast attraction because of its excellent cuisine and beautiful views. Food is served at all times of the day. It also hosts a weekly Sunday buffet which serves a variety of dishes, catering to all culinary tastes.
Payment
All major credit cards are accepted including American Express, MasterCard, VISA and some debit cards. No foreign currency is accepted, only RSA rands in cash. Cheques are not accepted either.
