The hotel Solimar Ruby is located approx. 750 m from the Malia, a sandy beach. At the beach, there are sun loungers and sun umbrellas for a fee. The tourist centre is about 500 m away. The town Heraklion is around 35 km away. The nearest shopping facilities are located approx. 100 m from the hotel, a supermarket can be reached after around 70 m. It is 500 m from the hotel to the nearest bars and restaurants. Also the nearest disco is around 500 m away. The following attractions can be reached from the hotel: Malia Minoan Palace (approx. 3 km away). For mobility during your holiday, there are a bus stop (approx. 70 m away) and a car rental company. Amenities:

Partially renovated in 2012, the one-storey resort has 90 rooms, and spread over one main building and one adjoining building. It is equipped with a reception (check-in from 15:00, check-out until 11:00), a lobby with bar, a lift, an air conditioning as well as a parking area (for free). For the meals, there is a restaurant (air-conditioned). You can relax in good company in the hotel bar. For guests with physical disabilities the hotel has a barrier-free access and a wheelchair accessible lift. Laundry service is available for a fee.

Pool:

In the outdoor area of the hotel you will find one pool with a children´s pool. Here, there are sun umbrellas and sun loungers for free available. A bar at the pool offers guests refreshing beverages (open from 10:30 - 23:00).

Meals:

American breakfast (from 07:30 - 10:00). All inclusive: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch and dinner only in selected restaurants or bars. Cakes and pastries (14:30 - 17:30), small snacks (11:00 - 12:30) and late riser's breakfast (10:00 - 10:45). Later check out possible (according to occupancy / availability).
